First post!

I love movies, I always have, and there's just something about telling others all about the films I've seen that puts a smile on my face. I also love to write, so it was sort of a no-brainer that I should start a blog. In fact, I'm a little surprised that I didn't think of it sooner. But I'm here now, and that's what matters, right?
First off, obviously I'm not a paid movie reviewer (I wish), so I will not be reviewing every film that lands in theatres. However, I go to the cinema quite frequently, so I will post about as many movies as I can. I'll also review older films (ones that have already been released for a little while) because I do rent a lot of movies as well. I'll be talking about all kinds of films, from chick flicks to horror and everything in between, so you won't see a ton of the same thing.
Second, the name of my blog is "Pure Vision Movie Reviews" for a reason. I'm a Christian, so I'll be reviewing movies with that in mind (i.e. I might dislike a movie because of its moral issues). Often I find myself looking at a movie poster debating whether or not I should see it because, let's face it, the rating system doesn't really let you know as much as you'd like about a movie's content. For example, I went to see the film "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" after reading why it earned it's PG-13 rating on the poster (for violence), and was slightly surprised at the amount of language in the movie. Now, I'd seen the previous installments in the Indy series already, so I wasn't shocked. But I had to sit and think about those who hadn't. Wasn't it unfair for them to walk into this movie with no prior warning that this great film unfortunately included some profanity issues? Thankfully, there are many websites out there now who base their reviews entirely on content so people can make their own desicions of whether or not they want to tackle a film's issues. Now, I won't just be disscusing a movie's content, but I will make some side notes about it, so you have fair warning.
So that ends my big "welcome to my blog" speech. I hope you enjoy it, and find it helpful to you in deciding which movies are worth your valuable time, and which aren't.
